Corn Price Update November 2010
Upper Midwest (Des Moines, IA)

For the following states: WI, MN, IA, SD, ND, NE, KS, MO
Organic grain and feedstuffs prices were steady to firm, with the exception of feed grade corn, which averaged higher. Demand was light to moderate with moderate offerings as new crop grain is being tested and farmers and buyers weigh their options on marketing this year. Spot market trades were limited this period, as many buyers have contracted the majority of their new crop grain purchases for delivery at a later date. Monthly and fourth quarter average prices are located below.
All prices FOB price per bushel except where stated (trucking cost needs to be added)

Trading in organic grain and feedstuff prices were mostly steady. Demand was light to moderate for moderate offerings. Trading activity was slow with very little news to help sway prices this reporting period. Organic corn prices was slightly higher due to stronger conventional corn markets.
