Carbon Management on the Farm

Tuesday, July 27, 2021, 3:30 pm until 5:30 pm
Sunrise Farm, White River Junction, VT

Join us for this workshop focused on carbon management on the farm at Sunrise Farm in White River Junction. With the help of community crowdsourcing and a Working Lands Enterprise Board business grant, the farm has built a state-permitted composting facility for turning food scraps from the community into compost suitable for use on the farm. Come tour the facility, see the operation, and discuss details such as costs, revenues, permitting, and logistics.

Host & Instructor: Chuck Wooster started Sunrise Farm two decades ago. The farm currently grows vegetables for a 400-member, on-farm CSA and winter wholesale markets while also raising lambs, chickens for eggs and meat, and making maple syrup.
