The Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA) currently has 11,000 members. MOFGA promotes the production of safe, quality food in ways that improve soil health, maintain farm economic sustainability, and do not harm the environment.
The Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA) currently has 11,000 members. MOFGA promotes the production of safe, quality food in ways that improve soil health, maintain farm economic sustainability, and do not harm the environment. Certification Services, LLC (MCS), annually reviews the practices of farms and food processors to assure the public that food labeled "certified organic" is grown according to National Organic Standards. MCS currently certifies over 50 milk producers in Maine.
